Proven Techniques To Become A Successful Blogger, That Pro Bloggers Follow!

I know the definition of success is different for different people. For some Success is Excellence , for some Success is Money, and for some Success is something else. Success is really subjective. It depends on person to person. Personally, I think we shouldn’t equate Success with money.

In blogging, there are many who really feel that “more money they earn each month, more successful they are in blogging”. But, I think this is completely a wrong notion. In blogging at least, Money is never equivalent to success. You should love your work and do it with passion.  The token of  Blogging is writing. I know that there are many others aspects in Blogging, like Social Media, SEO, marketing, etc., but the first and foremost thing about blogging is writing.

You should form a love-hate relationship with words. Love each and every word you write, feel them, enjoy them and live by them.

Now, you can argue, by saying that, I am completely against money making from blogging, that’s is what makes me say all these. But that’s not rue. I myself make a descent amount of money from blogging every month. Money making is never immoral is blogging. You should get the price of your hard work. That is for sure.

I remember, Joker’s dialogue from The Dark Knight, that “If you are good at something, never do it for free”. Really! If you are truly good at writing who spend a lot of time in researching and writing articles that genuinely help readers, then you deserve to get paid for your work. Making money from blogging is never immoral.

This blog daPazze is for more than a year now, but I myself is in this blogging and internet and designing world for more than 6 years. Previously, I have had many other blogs, which were just for fun and were never intended for money making. If I don’t take my previous incomes in account, then from this blog alone, I have successfully made 4 figures income.

This blog is also not a full time blog. I have my college studies and need to spend a lot of time in that too. So, I get very little time to blog. But it is my hobby, and there is not time-constraints that stop me from blogging. My conversion rate is quite high, as in spite of spending a very little time in my blog on a regular basis, the amount of money I have been able to make is quite satisfactory.

In this article, I would be sharing some of my principle or ethics, or rather you can say some of my secrets that have made me successful in my blogging career, (at least according to my point of view).

To blog or not to blog? This is the question.

9 Basic Tips To Remember Before Starting a Blog

1) Are You Blogging For Money? Then Stop Now.

This single thing is enough to kill your blogging career completely. I have talked with many people in this field of blogging and the funny thing is that most of them are blogging only for the sake of money and most of them are unable to achieve the level of success they had desired for. Some of them may have reached a certain level of success but in the long-run, have failed big-time.

Many of my fellow bloggers and friends have asked me about “How I make money from Blogging?”, “What is my monthly income from Blogging?”. This is not the end, when it comes to, “If I start a blog today, (and fill it with copied or re-written content), then can I make money (like you do) within a month or two?”.

I feel very unfortunate, that no one have ever asked me, “How much do you love to blog?”, “How can I truly make my blog successful?”, “How can I write to satisfy my readers?”.

Everyone, is dead in the name of Money. I have seen the greed for money in most of the people. Their eyes sparkled in the name of money. Money is like a drug, and unfortunately most of the people are badly addicted to it. And the only cure from this drug is the “Love for your Work”.

2) Are You Reading More Blogs Than Focusing On Only Writing

As I have told previously also, that Writing is the token of Blogging. But how will you write if you don’t read more. The more you read, the more you intake knowledge, the more will be your chances to write better. There are many who, without of researching (even a bit) on any topic, forms a vague idea of writing quality articles on it.

Try to read atleast 2-3 articles daily on topics related to your blog. It wont take more than half-an-hour to read 2-3 articles every day.

3 articles a day, 90+ articles a month,  1000+ articles a year. Not a big deal at all. If you read 2-3 articles every day, then it will not be difficult for you to write a single good quality article a day.

I know, that it is not possible to be maintained every single day, but still the work becomes very simple and easy if you follow this simple rule.

3) Aren’t You following a Scientific and Systematic Approach While Writing?

You have to be very systematic in that way you are writing.  Otherwise you will be wasting lot of precious time of yours. I have myself felt this before, when I used to complete a single good quality article in a whole day. I used to get carried away with lots of Internet distractions. See, the Internet is a very big source of information and knowledge, but it can also prove to be the biggest source of distractions.

The work that can be performed in a hour, may take a day to complete. The work that can be completed in a day, may even take a week.

To overcome this problem, I use various techniques, like the famous and popularly used Pomodoro technique. It is very effective and powerful, and you will realize its magic only after using it. I also use tools like Focus Booster which is very similar to Pomodoro. Sometimes, I even go to a whole new level, by turning off the monitor of my Desktop or Laptop while writing. This just eats up those bloody distractions.

4) Be A Salesman – Approach New Clients and Prospects

I know it appears more like a salesman approach. But honestly saying, we all are nothing but salesman. We all are just like products that we need to convince and sell to others properly.

In blogging also, if you need to make money, then you need to reach out to new clients and prospects. See there are various ways of getting advertisers, sponsors, etc, but that will also cost you money. So, that best way is to make direct contact with clients.

Every day, try to contact at least 1-2 new client. Not only that, you also need to follow-up your previous client’s.  Contacting 2 clients daily, can take you to 60 clients per month. At least, with fairly good communication, you can get successful deals regularly.

Do not got for it, if you do not want to monetize your blog now.  I recommend you, not to go for it, until and unless you are satisfied with your blog’s quality and appreciation from your readers. Don’t think of monetizing your blog from the very start of your blogging career.

5) Meeting Fellow Bloggers In This Blogosphere – Networking

Networking In Blogging

You can do networking in social media sites, like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Now-a-days, these social networking sites are very powerful and can help you a lot, to do networking. But you also need to meet people physically. Nothing can never replace its charm.

Arrange a meeting with some of your blogger friends, at a suitable place, and discuss about new blogging ideas. Trust me, it really opens new doors and brings home new opportunities.

6) Keep A Close Eye On Your Competitors

This is indeed a very important thing that you must do. You need to have a very close look at your competitors blogs, in all respect, like What new SEO strategies they are following ? What new sponsors have they managed? How are they leveraging their social media promotion techniques? And the list doesn’t end here.

Keeping a close look at your competitors will help you learn new and powerful techniques that your competitors are following and are implementing in their own blogs. To eat up the competition, you need to live with it.

7) Time Is Ticking – Manage It Properly

This is a very important aspect that many bloggers fail to maintain, and ultimately land up in quitting blogging. You really need to be very precise in managing time. You need to uniformly distribute, not only you time, but also your priorities among your different works.

Many give too much priority in blogging, and end up with very less time for their other works like families, friends, recreation, etc and some spend so much time in other things, that blogging becomes too much part time.

Managing time and priorities properly, is that what makes you a successful person in every aspect of your life.

8) Dedication, Determination and Perseverance

These are the moral elements that can drive you toward success. This applies not only in blogging, but also in all career opportunities you will ever face in your life.

Love, passion and dedication towards work, is what you need to emerge as a successful blogger. If you don’t love your work, then you are surely wasting your time our here. Better find an another job. No offense, but it is not the place for fickle-minded people. Truly. You need to stick towards you path, whatever happens.

You need to be determined toward your goal. There will be lots of temptations trying to deviate you from your path, but it is you who need to prove your determination and proceed towards success.

Very interesting, I just skimmed it and now I’m going to check some of these blogs but I definitely agree that it’s not really necessary to blog about blogs to be successful. Is like just looking at traffic without considering conversions.
