As many website owners continue to recover from the Google algorithm updates, there has been an increasing attempt to find ways to ensure that their websites retain the top coveted positions in search results. After the Penguin update, many site owners have seen their sites fall off the positions they have held for years and they are looking for new strategies to update their content. The practices that they have relied on for years are no longer working as is evident from the poor rankings.
Google explained that the Penguin update was designed to discourage sites that used tactics like keyword stuffing and link networks. They have also targeted sites that display duplicate, republished or copied content as a SEO tactics. If you want to enhance your site, there are things you can do to ensure that it retains legitimacy and you increase traffic.
Think Of Your Audience
The most important thing to remember is that you are building a brand. This means that you should consider what your audience needs. The issue of keyword stuffing has become redundant. Focusing on link building should not be more important than giving your audience the information they need. Websites that are more interested in giving their audience their point of view, rather than what the audience wants to hear, are destined to fail. As long as you are considered to be an authority on certain issues, the viewers will visit your site regularly.
Create Quality Content
Creating content simply to fill a monthly quarter, maintain a regular schedule or to keep the site updated is not a good idea. You should create content that is relevant and teaches your audience something new. Re-cycling old material will not endear you to your audience or customers who want to feel that they are getting something important for their time. If the content you have on the site does not offer anything new, your audience will soon stop visiting your site.
Provide Value
Customers care less about you and your company or brand, and more about the benefits or the value they get. Only after you have provided value and created a rapport with the customers can you begin to get their loyalty. If you are constantly providing information about your goals or the big ideas you have, and you are not offering any deals, they will lose interest fast. Customers will not spend money just because they like the company name or the goals you have for the future. To get their devotion, you have to offer something now.
Build Quality Links
You should make sure that the links you build are from sites with authority and that they provide value to your site. You should avoid creating links simply for the sake of driving traffic without considering the source. The links you get should be relevant and natural looking. Having too many links created in a short space of time always looks unnatural. The keywords you use should be natural so that they do not appear to be stuffed. Using guest blogging is a good way to get links and it does not appear to be forced but it is important to contribute to blogs that are in your niche.
So, these are the techniques that you can follow to save your website if it has been hit badly by the Penguin update. Not only that, you can also be aware of the facts that mainly govern the penguin update and take preventive measures, so that the penguins never get a chance to hit your site.

The new Google Penguin update should benefit the white hat SEO community as the algorith rewards those who practice ethical link building at the expense of those who are intent on gaming the system. After all, search engines are always trying to stay ahead of the game by delivering the most relevant results.
This is really true. As SEOs it is not our duty to game or manipulate the system. If we practice white hat methods, then surely we will get rewarded.
Thanks for the information though.
we need to remind that, we write for human not for crawler..

Absolutely, that’s why Google is imposing these strict rules in their search algorithm.
Google is getting more strict when it comes to rankings. In promoting our websites online, we only need to think of one thing – QUALITY. That’s what Google is after so that’s what we should offer.
