Get Twitter Followers Free using Hashtags

Get Twitter Followers Free with HashtagsTwitter has a good potential to direct visitors to your blog if you use it correctly and efficiently. But to utilize your twitter account you will need to have a good follower count in your twitter account. In a previous article at daPazze, I have illustrated how to get twitter followers free in your twitter account using the Follow-Back Technique, but in this article I am going to illustrate how to gain twitter followers using a totally different method.

In this method I will be illustrating how to utilize the Hashtag feature in twitter to increase twitter followers in your account as well as gain popularity in twitter and draw good quality traffic to your blog from twitter.

What are Hashtags?

Hashtags are keywords that twitter uses to index tweets to the twitter search. This means that if you create a tweet with a hashtag such as #dapazze in it, then next time when you or any twitter user searches for tweets in twitter with the term “dapazze”, it will show up the tweet which is posted with the #dapazze hashtag.

But this doesn’t mean that other tweets that are not posted with a hashtag will not appear in the search results. They may appear, but giving hashtags will make your tweet more prominent in the search results.

You can also see some “Trending Topics” in the main page of twitter sometimes, and if you will have a close look at them then you will find out that those topics are actually some hashtags which have become popular recently in twitter as a large number of users have posted tweets with those hashtags and they have become the Trending Topics in twitter.

Why Hashtags are important?

If you think that hashtags are just a way to let the readers know about the topic of the tweet, then you are absolutely wrong. Hashtags are way more useful than what you think it is. With hashtags you can make your tweet get noticed by thousands of users in twitter, and in turn gain twitter followers for your account.

If you use hashtags then there’s also a good chance that your readers will find your tweet useful and relevant to the topic, and will have a look at your account, and might follow you if you keep posting quality tweets from your account.

But posting tweets with irrelevant hashtags can not only affect the appearance of your tweets in the search results, but can also leave a bad impression on your visitors, as they will find incorrect or incomplete information in your tweets, and might decide not to follow you. To prevent this, I have illustrated some cases that are discussed in the next point, and will help you to understand how to give hashtags in your tweets for better performance.

Hashtags = Get Twitter Followers Free: How?

As I have already stated what hashtags are, you can already assume what it can do, and as twitter search is used by millions of people over the world, it has a great potential to get you twitter followers free to your account as well as quality traffic to your blog.

There can be three cases in twitter regarding this topic, and they are either without giving hashtags in your tweets or giving improper hashtags in your tweets, or giving proper and contextual hashtags in your tweets. Let’s have a look at these cases in more detail: -

Case 1Without using hashtags: In this case we will consider tweets which don’t have any hashtags attached to it, and their potential to gain twitter followers for your twitter account. Suppose you have written a tweet in twitter like “Bill Gates unveils Microsoft Surface (with a link to your blog)”. As you haven’t included any hashtag in it, it will not be categorized properly in twitter, and may not show up prominently in the twitter search results.

Tweeting Without Hashtag

As it’s a simple tweet, so it will not be indexed like the hashtag indexing process in twitter, where the tweet in assigned to a group or category according to the text of the hashtag.

Case 2Using improper hashtags: In this case we will consider tweets which have a hashtag assigned to it, but doesn’t matches with the contents of the tweet or is something which is not known to anybody. For example, if you create a tweet like “Bill Gates unveils Microsoft Surface (with a link to your blog) #melindagates #surface”, it’s still not a proper tweet that will have good position in search results when an user searches for “Microsoft Surface” or “Bill Gates”, as the hashtags used are improper and doesn’t quite match with the contents or topic of the tweet.

Tweeting with improper hashtag

Therefore even if it comes to the search results, then also there is a low probability that an user will get impressed by your tweet and follow you, as you have tagged the tweet with a wrong keyword, which indicates that you either don’t have much knowledge about the topic which you have tweeted, or you are not serious in posting your tweets, and most of the users will not want to follow such person who provides wrong information.

Case 3Using proper hashtags: In this case we will consider tweets which have a proper hashtag assigned to it, which matches with the content of the tweet and is a somewhat popular hashtag. For example, if you have written a tweet like “Bill Gates unveils Microsoft Surface (with a link to your blog) #billgates #microsoft #microsoftsurface”, then it can be considered as a good and quality tweet, which has contextual hashtags assigned to it.

Tweeting with proper hashtags

Next time when any user searches for “Bill Gates” or “Microsoft” or “Microsoft Surface”, there’s a good probability that you tweet might show up in the search results and gets noticed by many users. Since you have given relevant hashtags to your tweet, there’s also a chance that you will get followed by a good number of users, as most of the users will know that you have a good knowledge on the topic which are tweeting about, and are serious about your tweets, so they will want to get good and informative tweets from you in the future and will thus follow you on twitter, and this way you will increase twitter followers to your account.

With these above mentioned techniques, you can easily increase twitter followers to your account, but the only thing which you need to focus on is that you don’t make the mistakes as mentioned in Case 1 and Case 2, and follow Case 3 for achieving good results. And if you have any doubt on how to get twitter followers free using hashtags, then do feel free to ask me using the comment section below.

So, start using hashtags, as you can never know what miracle they can do for you and your blog.
